Just recently as I was going over some essays that I had stored away to be read later, I came across one which I had stashed at the end of 2012. Shaun So, a writer at forbes.com, has an advice: “Five new years resolutions for entrepreneurs”.
1- Fire someone
2- Get an advisor
3- Apply for a corporate credit card
4- Read a book that has NOTHING to do with entrepreneurship
5- Say “Thank you”
I don’t know if you might like/dislike, apply/not apply these recommendations. But looking at this list from my point of view I know that one item is missing: Wish yourself lots of luck!
In the old days if we were let’s say 60% sure of our assumptions while making a decision and were leaving the rest to luck, today I would argue that this percentage is down to 15-20. In other words, the outcomes of our decisions today depend a lot on luck.
I wish you lots of luck in 2014…
