Years ago my partners and I started a security systems business. We had forecasted a sale of 1000 units for the first year. We closed that year with 10 units. However, my partners believed in me and we fought our way thru to have a growing business two years later.
“Don’t Give Up” is a song written by the English rock musician Peter Gabriel and recorded as a duet with Kate Bush for Gabriel’s album “So”.
The lyrics are about a man whose unemployment causes stress in his domestic relationship. The verses, sung by Gabriel, describe the man’s feelings of isolation and despair:
No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
The choruses, sung by Bush, offer words of hope and encouragement:
Don’t give up ‘cos you have friends
Don’t give up you’re not beaten yet
Don’t give up I know you can make it good
If you are or want to become an entrepreneur, you have to know that there is always a possibility of failure. But you have to forget about that possibility and fight for overcoming the obstacles keeping the success away from you.
And in cases you are in such a fight, having people around you, who believe in you and who can help keeping your mood up, is of great importance.
